Taking a Break

This blogging business is hard work, and since I usually don’t start until after the kids go to bed around 9:30 or 10:00, it’s starting to interfere with my sleep, so tonight I am taking a break. 🙂

Not much to report anyway. Great lunch near the Spanish Steps (called Life), a great handbag purchase (my first shopping of the trip), another trip to Villa Borghese park (where I almost crushed a very mean little Italian boy who was absolutely awful to Max), and gelato at our favorite Gelateria. The weather has been so hot for the past few days that it drains all of our energy, but is supposed to cool back down to the low ’80s next week. It may be worth another visit to St. Peter’s just to pray for cooler weather.

A few photos, and I’m off to bed with a glass of wine and a book kindle. Ahhhh.

  1. It seems being well organized really pays off! I’m so impressed with your adventures and especially your reports. Keep on discovering. Love you all.

  2. Please know your hard work is very much appreciated by those of us who do not have a Roman adventure on our calendar this summer! 🙂 As for the mean Italian boy, I have my “Wicked Italian” book on the shelf, let me know if you need any choice phrases out of it. >:-(

  3. I’ll join Kim with my evil stink eye!
And then I must see your new handbag, where’s that pic!? 🙂

  4. If the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words”, I thank you for the extra 3,000 words, especially the last one of the boys soaking their feet in the fountain. Please keep on writing. It brings us all such pleasure. It’s like traveling along with you and my sweet boys. As for the mean Italian boy, I’ll see if there are any magic words in the Strega Nona books.
    Love you all,
